I have been thinking about starting a blog for a little while now. I am a total novice when it comes to blogging so I have no idea what direction this blog is going in. I like to think of it as more of an open diary, a place to write about the daily events in the Busher Nepia household and in the future I can look back in the archives and reminisce.
A little bit about me. I just recently turned the big 3 0! The thought of turning 30 and getting older slightly freaked me out, but when I think about all I have accomplished by the age of 30 I don’t have much to complain about except the ever increasing wrinkles. This June I will celebrate 5 years of being married to an awesome man who is a great husband and Dad to our 2 children. Our first born is our beautiful, intelligent and strong willed 2.5 year old son Kaelan who is now big brother to the latest addition to the family our beautiful and incredibly relaxed daughter Aria who is just over 4 months old and boy does she melt my heart. After having Kaelan I didn’t think it was possible to love someone as much as I love him, but as soon as Aria arrived my heart grew even bigger, they are the apple of my eye.
Before I became a Mum I use to work in advertising, I started out as a fashion/home stylist and eventually I moved into account management working on fashion retail accounts. I am now very fortunate to be able to stay at home with our two children, but to any of you who think being a stay at home Mum is easy, you’re wrong! I wont get into that though as I know how lucky I am that I get to hang out with them everyday and watch them grow. I’m not sure what my future holds career wise as we have bought a little piece of land approximately 2.6 acres 45 minutes north of the north shore so battling the traffic every day into the city might not be possible unless I find somewhere which is flexible on hours.
We bought our land nearly 3 years ago while living in London without even seeing it. We have my parents and cousin to thank for finding such a gem of a spot. I’m pretty sure most of our mates think we’re crazy for moving up there, but we think we’re onto a winner. After years of saving by living with my parents we are beyond excited to start building our home later this year. It has been a very long and sometimes stressful yet fun time getting everything organised. Now lets just hope everything goes smoothly with the building consent and the build! Building our home has really ignited my obsession for interior design I spend my evenings trawling through pintrest, Houzz, instagram and so on for home and décor inspiration. If only we could afford everything I LOVE- I’ll just have to get creative!
Anyway that was a much longer introduction than I expected. I doubt anyone will read my blog but if you do I hope you enjoy reading about the things I LOVE and my RASCALS as much as I do.
P.S I apologise for any bad grammar in advance.
